Professional Internship gets JCU Brisbane student in a Twitter

JCU Brisbane MBA student, Taher Ali  has been offered a Professional Internship with the Sarina Russo Group (SRG), due to begin on Monday 14 November. Taher, who is from the United Arab Emirates, made the decision to sign up for the Internship program as he wanted to gain the essential work experience that could set him apart from other graduates in the job market.

Taher's project includes analysing the group's social media strategy, including the company's market positioning. He will use his findings to develop strategies for the existing platforms currently used by SRG, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Taher will also contribute to these on a daily or weekly basis, with the aim of increasing online traffic to these sites.

Taher will be reporting to the National Public Affairs Manager Brenden Brien and will be working closely with the IT Systems Manager and the IT Web Developer.

JCU Brisbane will be guiding Taher throughout his internship with journalistic support from Lecturer Dennis Guild, and communication support from Language & Learning Advisor, Amreeta Hinduja. Taher will also be receiving regular contact and site visits from Work-Integrated Learning Director Paul Kidd and WIL Project Officer Debra Cross.

Keep up to date on Taher's progress via the JCU Brisbane's Facebook and Twitter sites!
