Compulsory Workshops

These workshops are compulsory for students seeking employment and careers assistance throughout their studies.  Usually conducted at the beginning of a new trimester, students are encouraged to register their interest at the Joblinx reception on Level 5. 

Workshop 1 - Marketing Yourself On Paper (Resume & Cover Letters)

This workshop will give an overview of how you can effectively identify your skills and abilities, the difference between a cover letter, resume and CV, and how to effectively sell yourself on paper.

Workshop 2 - Essential Interviewing Skills

This workshop will provide you an overview of how to present yourself during an interview, including being prepared, what to expect, professional presentation, communication and what employers expect.

Workshop 3 - Australian Workplace Culture

The workshop will give you an idea of the Australian values and culture in the workplace, appearance and correct dress codes, communication, team work, punctuality, initiative, time off, illness and exams.

Additional Information & Registration Session

This is a chance for students to ask any questions that they may have that haven't already been covered in the previous workshops as well as a chance to register for Joblinx assistance.
